<|AD HOC FLIGHTS|>

Presently six aircraft are dedicated for five days a week charter flights for DHL. Current routes:

  • Katowice-Leipzig-Katowice from August 2005

  • Gdańsk-Leipzig-Gdańsk from August 2005

  • Marseille-Nice-Marseille from September 2006

  • Copenhagen-Stavanger-Copenhagen from September 2008

  • Helsinki-Tallin-Helsinki from June 2009

All our personnel is consciuos that each of DHL aircraft carry 100 times more customers (shipments) than any Jumbo Jet carry passengers. Connecting times between aircraft in DHL network are very tight. Departure delays over 30 minutes would cause other aircraft to depart without our shipments. Such shipments would have a 24 hours delivery delay for the customers.

In 2007 year DHL have introduced a new ABU containers for An-26 aircraft, with the payload up to 1.379 kgs. The An-26 can take on board four of such containers.

In November 2009 we celebrate 17th anniversary of the first commercial flight for DHL. On the night 19/20 November 1992 we have operated L-410 aircraft on the route Warsaw-Copenhagen-Warsaw. During 17 years we have performed over 9.900 round flights for DHL with the aircraft types:

  • L-410,

  • Yak-40,

  • Metro III,

  • Saab 340,

  • and with An-26 fleet.
